In this video we visit one of the most unique homeless encampments in the United States. Cob on Wood is a community of housed and unhoused people who came together to create practical solutions for the homelessness crisis. They used wooden pallets insulated with straw, clothes, and waste products to build these extremeley affordable "cobins" on Wood Street in Oakland. These structures are easy to build, incredibly cheap, transportable, fire-proof, and beautiful. Could this be the solution to the homeless crisis in the US?

In this natural building tour, we visit Crestone, Colorado to take a look at Paul Shippee's rammed earth strawbale home. By utilizing passive and active solar technology, Paul's home and hot water system is able to be heating by the sun year-round. Rammed earth is a durable and efficient building material with a high thermal mass which makes it great for heat storage. On the other hand, strawbale is highly insulative so when this heat rises the second story of Paul's home is able to retain the temperature!

Roberto Corrêa apresenta detalhes da Viola de Buriti que ele utiliza no Concerto para Vaca e Boi nas músicas Boi Babão e Boi de Rosa. Quem também apresenta o instrumento é o Canhotinho da Viola, artista do Jalapão (TO) que construiu a viola. Duas formas diferentes de falar sobre o instrumento e do propósito de que ele seja conhecido por todo o país.
O Concerto para Vaca e Boi traz o encontro das Violas Brasileiras, instrumentos regionais brasileiros, com a Viola da Gamba, que teve seu apogeu na Renascença e no Barroco. Vindas de tempos antigos, duas culturas musicais distintas dialogam em um trabalho autoral e contemporâneo. Roberto Corrêa utiliza a bagagem de seus quarenta e cinco anos de carreira para conduzir violas populares do Brasil para a música de concerto. O disco traz doze composições para duo das Violas Brasileiras e a Viola da Gamba.
