How I Edit Seestar Image into Astro Landscape

I've had so many people ask me about the editing methods I use to incorporate my Seestar S30 Pro images together with my astro landscape foregrounds. Well here it is. In this video I'll go through the whole process using a number of different software packages.

Do animals actually like music — or are humans just projecting? In this episode of Howtown, we investigate the science of animals and music through experiments with cotton-top tamarins, orangutans, rats, mice, parrots, dogs, cats, and a wild fox who seemed captivated by a banjo.
We look at what animal behavior research, neuroscience, and music cognition can tell us about rhythm, pitch, melody, consonance, dissonance, emotion, reward, pattern recognition, and why human brains find music so powerful. Along the way, we explore studies on cotton-top tamarins preferring silence to human music, orangutans choosing silence over different music genres, rats conditioned to prefer Miles Davis, mice exposed to Beethoven during development, dogs howling along to favorite songs, and Snowball the cockatoo dancing to the beat.
Featuring conversations with researchers and musicians including Aniruddh Patel, Pralle Kriengwatana, David Teie, Suzanne MacDonald, and Andy Thorn, this episode asks: can animals hear music the way we do? In 1675, the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire instructed his army to attack a fortress belonging to the Zaporozhian Cossacks. They were quickly and heavily defeated. Rather than surrender, the Sultan then wrote to the Cossacks and demanded that they submit to him.

O projeto é um ciclo de canções e textos que nasce da colaboração entre o músico e professor luso-brasileiro Gilvano Dalagna, o artista e escritor luso-canadense Richard Simas e a violinista e professora luso-brasileira Clarissa Foletto, todos ligados à Universidade de Aveiro e ao INET-md (Instituto de Etnomusicologia – Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança). Inspirado em “A Conferência dos Pássaros”, texto sufi persa do século XIII de Farid Ud-Din Attar, o álbum acompanha a jornada de dois personagens — Tomás e Sofia — que partem em busca de sentido pelo mundo, transformando-se, ao longo do caminho, em seres híbridos, meio pássaros, meio humanos.

O resultado é uma obra bilíngue (português e inglês), eclética, com 20 faixas entre canções e narrações, gravada com um ensemble de músicos de origens diversas em Aveiro. O álbum está disponível no Bandcamp com preço livre (“name your price”), e o ebook que acompanha a obra pode ser baixado gratuitamente no repositório aberto da Universidade de Aveiro. Na live, vamos conversar sobre o processo criativo colaborativo entre escritor e compositor, uma inversão do modelo habitual em que o texto literário se subordina à estrutura musical.
