The Ombudsman charged former House speaker Martin Romualdez with plunder on Monday, September 7. On the same day, the Sandiganbayan ordered his arrest.
But things became more complicated when it was revealed that Romualdez is confined in a hospital due to unstable blood pressure.
In other words, the former speaker is now arrested but will remain confined in San Juan City for now.
