Em sua 21ª edição, marcada para 7 de dezembro no campus da UFPE, a programação traduz o espírito de um evento que nunca se acomodou. São mais de 12 horas de música em três palcos, onde gêneros como brega, jazz, funk, coco e R&B se encontram, ignorando fronteiras entre tradição e vanguarda. A escolha de um line-up majoritariamente feminino é mais do que um gesto simbólico: é um reflexo do DNA do festival, que desde 2004 é liderado por mulheres e aposta na mistura como força criativa. O nome Punhal Verde e Amarelo foi atribuído para o planejamento de um golpe de Estado articulado em 2022, envolvendo militares das Forças Especiais com apoio do ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro. O objetivo era impedir a posse de Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva e assassinar o presidente eleito, além de atacar seu vice, Geraldo Alckmin, e o ministro do Supremo Tribunal Federal, Alexandre de Moraes. O plano foi revelado pela Polícia Federal no último 19 de novembro, mostrando de uma forma chocante o quão perto o país esteve de um golpe militar e do caos social.

Para discutir essas revelações, o caminho até aqui e as implicações para o futuro da democracia da democracia brasileira, hoje o Pauta recebe o historiador Francisco Teixeira, professor emérito do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Militares da Escola de Comando e Estado-Maior do Exército (ECEME) e professor titular de História Moderna e Contemporânea da UFRJ (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro).
