ISHITANI - Making a FUTAHASHIRA Table

💾

This table is made from cherry wood.
Dimensions: W180 x D100 x H70cm
Since the depth of the tabletop was a large 100 cm this time, I tried a new design while ensuring its strength.
The tabletop is joined to prevent warping by using Tapered Sliding Dovetail joints to allow for expansion and contraction, and the legs, crossbars, and stretchers are intricately joined.

チェリーの木でお作りしたテーブルです。
サイズは W180 x D100 x H70cm。
今回天板の奥行きが100㎝と大きかったので、強度を確保しつつ、新しいデザインに挑戦しました。
テーブルトップは吸い付き桟で伸縮を妨げない様に反りを抑え、
脚や貫は複雑に組まれています。

Im Sommer 1943 wurde Hamburg zum Ziel einer der verheerendsten Luftangriffe des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Unter dem Codenamen „Operation Gomorrah“ starteten britische und amerikanische Bomber eine mehrtägige Angriffswelle auf die Stadt.
Der Name „Gomorrah“ spielte bewusst auf die biblische Stadt an, die durch Feuer vernichtet wurde. Und genau das wurde für Hamburg zur grausamen Realität. In der Nacht vom 27. auf den 28. Juli 1943 entstand durch Bomben, Brandbomben und extreme Hitze ein gewaltiger Feuersturm. Ganze Stadtteile wurden zerstört, Straßen verwandelten sich in Flammenkorridore, und die Hitze war so stark, dass Menschen in Kellern und Schutzräumen erstickten oder verbrannten.
Besonders betroffen waren Arbeiter- und Wohnviertel wie Hammerbrook, Hamm, Borgfelde und Rothenburgsort. Die Angriffe sollten nicht nur die Rüstungsindustrie und den Hafen treffen, sondern auch die Moral der deutschen Bevölkerung brechen.
Schätzungen zufolge starben bei Operation Gomorrah rund 34.000 bis 40.000 Menschen, Hunderttausende verloren ihr Zuhause. Hamburg war danach eine Stadt in Trümmern. Für viele Überlebende blieb diese Woche als eine der traumatischsten Erfahrungen ihres Lebens im Gedächtnis.

Wir haben bei der Produktion auf maximal korrekte historische Umsetzung geachtet. Alle Szenen basieren auch echten Fotografien, teilweise schwarz-weiß Bilder, teilweise in Farbe, die dann mit mithilfe von künstlicher Intelligenz animiert wurden, wobei auf möglichst geschichtstreue Umsetzung geachtet wurde.

Nieves Concostrina cuenta cómo Manuel de Falla se marchó a Argentina en 1939 huyendo de una España franquista opresiva y violenta para la cultura y las libertades. Pese a que rechazó regresar en vida y detestaba la pompa, tras su muerte en 1946 su cadáver fue repatriado por la dictadura y enterrado con grandes homenajes en la catedral de Cádiz, junto al franquista José María Pemán.
