Finale: once the industry-standard of music notation software, now a cautionary tale. In this video, I explore how it slowly lost its crown through decades of missed opportunities - eventually leading to creative collapse due to various bureaucratic intrigues, unforeseen technological changes and some of the jankiest UI/UX you've ever seen. With the repertoire «Taco y suela: tradición», performed as a trio, he revives energies from his native land while continuing his transmission work. Chango Spasiuk here invokes the founding fathers of what is much more than a musical genre: a living and mixed culture, connected to nature and imbued with spirituality...
The illustration of this approach, which draws a link between a rich past and a promising future, lies in his new collaboration with the young accordionist Enzo Demartini. The two virtuosos complete each other between diatonic and chromatic, while long-time accomplice Marcos Villalba excels on percussion.
The local adage is evocative: chamamé is a prayer that is danced, a dance that is prayed... It is a trance that is gentle and powerful, a music that connects the legs to the heart to take the audience into a joyful and universal communion!
