I made a stained glass Tiffany lamp shade in my last video, in this video I'll finish it and make a base. It took nearly two months all up and the whole thing was made from scratch. It was one of my favourite projects which I'd like to tackle again sometime.

A volta de Donald Trump ao poder fez ganhar força uma de suas principais promessas de campanha: as medidas contra a imigração no país. Em três meses de governo, o Departamento de Segurança Interna dos Estados Unidos anunciou que mais de 142 mil imigrantes irregulares foram deportados. A questão é que a sensação de insegurança tem ido além das pessoas que estão sem as devidas documentações no país e há relatos de que a deportação tem sido utilizada como ferramenta política para perseguir opositores e críticos do governo.
Para refletir sobre essa realidade, Andrea Dip recebe no Pauta Pública desta semana, Jamil Chade, jornalista e escritor que acaba de lançar "Tomara que você seja deportado: uma viagem pela distopia americana”, um livro marcado por sua experiência pessoal, em que ele retrata os desafios diários mesmo em condições legais no país. A obra é resultado de uma viagem pela distopia estadunidense, no período entre a campanha eleitoral de Trump e a retomada de um governo autoritário, de perseguição às minorias e outros aspectos políticos e econômicos que evidenciam a decadência daquela sociedade.

The catastrophic flash flood killed over 107 people countywide, making it one of the deadliest inland flood events in U.S. history, with Camp Mystic suffering particularly devastating losses of at least 27 campers and counselors. Harrison Hall, the camp's central dining facility and community hub had its front wall torn off and roof badly damaged. Officials and experts have been hesitant to address key factors that worsened the disaster, including key failures in institutional response and cabins knowingly built in the floodplain. Although climate change has spiked the risk of extreme rainfall, its impact has still not been widely acknowledged.
